Today I went into the Verizon store to talk about a few software issues with my phone. Since it's a brand new phone, it has some bugs for sure. The weirdest issue I have had is with the phone turning off when my inbox is full and I scroll to the last message. This bug was able to replicated every single time, even after I turned the phone off for a period of time. After I'd talked about these things with the Verizon rep, we connected on mutual experiences from the past such as the Internet and having lived in Northern California. I'm about to add her on MySpace.
Just as we were finishing up, the manufacturer representative for my phone came in. He gathers feedback about his manufacturer's products as a course of his work, so the Verizon rep introduced us. I got to tell him about all of the little things about my phone that I thought should be addressed, asked him questions, and we even went out to my car to talk about the difference in sound quality between my first-generation iPod Nano and my phone, and how even playing the exact some file of the exact same song, the old iPod sounds richer. He was able to tell the difference right away, but we were not able to figure out why. He was truly thankful for all of the feedback I was able to give him, and it felt nice to be able to actually give feedback to someone who I know will use it. He said I'd given him the best feedback ever.
Can that just be my job? Thanks.

Today was the first day that I went to Safeway and forgot my unregistered card. I'd gathered a stack of cheap Cliff Bars to hold me over until payday and they were all on sale with a card. I tried the trick that I always tell people about, but have never tried myself, which is to type in whatever area code you're in and the number 867-5309 from that "Jenny" song. I typed it in and nervously waited as it seemed to take longer than usual for the deductions to occur. It worked, and as the cashier handed me my receipt, she said, "You saved one dollar and fifty cents, Mr. Garcia. Thank you and have a nice day." I immediately took the receipt and looked at it. It read:
Jerry Garcia
I love people.
Edit: I forgot to add that I used the 916 area code instead of 503 or 971 because I heard about this trick in my hometown and I was more certain it would work if I used that area code. If you type in 503 or 971, you probably won't get Jerry Garcia, but you might get something else interesting.

I hit a bat on my way to work. It did not die and was flopping around on my hood. I had to stop and kill it. I don't even have to be at work until 8.
Lol, what?

My laundry has a flat screen. Lol.
I have a strange life.
